Short bio: Helen H. Wu is a children’s book author, illustrator and publisher, and the founder of CapyFun. Her books include Tofu Takes Time, Ping’s Perfect Pot, A Cup of Happy: Capybara Bubble Tea and The Little Book of Capybara Self-Care. She lives in Southern California.
Long bio: Helen H. Wu is a children’s book author, illustrator, translator and publisher, and the founder of CapyFun, a capybara character brand spanning books, animation, games and lifestyle products. Her picture books include Tofu Takes Time and Ping’s Perfect Pot (Beaming Books) and Long Goes to Dragon School (Yeehoo Press), and her author-illustrated capybara titles include A Cup of Happy: Capybara Bubble Tea, You Are Loved, The Little Book of Capybara Self-Care (Greenfinch, Hachette UK) and the Cozy Capy coloring books (Walter Foster, Quarto). As the Publisher of Yeehoo Press, an independent children’s book publisher in San Diego, she loves sharing stories that celebrate cultural connections. Born and raised in China, Helen now lives in sunny Southern California.
